ABOUT THE AUTHOR

William Wadsworth, the nephew of Martha Wadsworth Coigney is a writer and Ph.D. scholar in the fields of literature and the history of medicine. His previous publications include: Twelve Elements and Heaven, Earth, and Humankind. He practiced Oriental Medicine for 25 years alongside other systems of holistic healing including: Traeger Work, Zero Balancing, Deep Muscle Therapy, Shiatzu, and Polarity Therapy. He was past-president of the Maryland and West Virginia Acupuncture societies. William has been a life-long carpenter. He designed and built his own home and renovated many others. Other incarnations include work as an astrologer, an English teacher, and a class V whitewater guide.

Jim O’Quinn is the founding editor of American Theatre magazine, the only national general circulation publication about theatre in the United States, now in its 35th year. O’Quinn also edited the quarterly SDC Journal of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers for 8 years, and wrote the Encyclopedia Britannica Book of the Year reports on theatre in the U.S. and Canada for nearly a decade. His articles and reviews have appeared in a wide range of publications, including Theatre Heute, Playbill, High Performance, Tatler, and TDR: The Drama Review, for which he served as managing editor in the early 1980s at New York University. O’Quinn is the recipient of the 2010 Excellence in Editing Award from the Association for Theatre in Higher Education; two Eddie Awards for editorial excellence at American Theatre; and six Louisiana Press Association awards.
